Chelsea striker Fernando Torres has offered cryptic clues over reasons for his move from Liverpool.
Torres insists there are reasons behind the move that have yet to be made public and also heaped praise on former Liverpool manager Rafael Benitez.
"Liverpool's fans have stuck with the story the club gave and they don't know the real story," he told the Spanish newspaper Marca.
"I don't feel bitter towards them, they will always be special for me.
"I owe so much to Rafa Benitez, no one understood me like him.
"He's a great coach. His teams go out with just one thing in mind: compete.
"Even with a smaller budget his teams can compete with the best."

Sounds like Torres misses the support of the Liverpool fans. I wouldn't say he's regretting his move just yet; after all, Chelsea is actually ahead of Liverpool on goal difference right now, but I think he realizes he gave up on something good a bit too early. Just imagine where Liverpool would be in the league table with Suarez beside Torres in attack. I think he bailed just a bit early and realizes that on some level. I'm sure Rafa's sacking had a lot to do with his exit but he should have given Liverpool the benefit of the doubt and at least tried to make it work with Kenny before he asked for a transfer. I also feel the same way about Meireles... The squad would be much improved with the two of them in the lineup but Hodgson, Hicks and Gillett ruined any chance of Torres sticking around long enough to fit into Kenny and Steve Clarke's system
i just wonder , if rafa had the backing lyk kenny did , were we wud be ?
rafa wanted to buy silva , mata , villa and so on. Kenny is a great manager buh i not 100% confident about his tranfsers. Saurez had already agreed to sing for liverpool before kenny came. He has bought in quality players such as enrique and downing and adam and also henderson but we have to giv them time to settle down but time is running out. i think if we had rafa we wud of got mata or silva deffo, maybe be both with villa as well :o
what are you talking about he doesnt teach his players that, mourinho might, but kenny certainly doesn't. stfu and stop talking nonsense.
