Chelsea striker Andriy Shevchenko knows former club Dynamo Kiev want to bring him back to Ukraine in January.

Kiev have made Shevchenko's advisers aware of their interest, but despite the Chelsea star's unhappiness at Stamford Bridge, he is unlikely to go just yet. Despite the lure of playing alongside his old buddy Sergei Rebrov again, Shevchenko would have to take a massive drop in wages from the £6million a year he earns in England, to around £2.5m.

A source close to Shevchenko told the Daily Express: "Andriy is aware of Dinamo's interest. The club have said several times that they would like to take him back."
