Chelsea midfielder Deco says his injury nightmare is finally over and he is ready to push for a return to first-team action.

A succession of niggling injuries has kept the midfielder on the sidelines in recent weeks but he insists he is now fully fit.

"I came back in the last two weeks and I feel better, I have not a problem any more," said Deco. "I am ready to help the team when the team needs me.

"I started off well, but then I got injured and my performance level dropped a bit. I've had a few injury problems and therefore my form has weakened. And so far, since my return, I've never been at my best.

"But little by little my form is returning, and also the team is improving - things will get better very soon. But the most important thing is to keep working."
