Chelsea wrecked Barcelona hopes of Alexis Sanchez deal yesterday

Chelsea stalled Barcelona's hopes of landing Alexis Sanchez yesterday. Udinese were all set to rubberstamp Sanchez's move to Barca, only to pull back from negotiations yesterday afternoon. The reason? Chelsea had made fresh contact for the Chile international.

While Sanchez wants to move to the Nou Camp, Udinese refuse to be short changed and know they can make more by selling him to Chelsea.

Udinese have informed Barca their final bid of €26 million is not enough and are demanding they improve their offer if negotiations are to resume, says El Mundo Deportivo.

One of the clauses demanded by Barca is that part of their fee be dependent on Sanchez starting over 50 per cent of games next season, which has been dismissed by Udinese.
