Chelsea winger Florent Malouda revealed he went into the Portsmouth dressing room after their 5-0 win to check on Ricardo Rocha.
His first-half collision with Rocha led to the Portsmouth defender being carried off with a head injury.
"I was worried about his [Rocha's] health but I went in their dressing room after the game and he had just come back from the hospital," Malouda told the club's website. "He has not broken anything and it is not as bad as it looked. He said no problem and it is okay.
"I will say that I didn't know where he was and when I jumped I was only looking at the ball. I jumped with my arm up but everybody does and I didn't mean to hurt him. It is a relief for me that it is not broken because I know it is really, really painful and I hope he will be back soon."
