Chelsea winger Christian Atsu is interesting Newcastle United.

Toon boss Rafa Benitez is keen to add a wide player to his Championship squad.

The Daily Mail says Newcastle have also discussed a loan move for Chelsea winger Atsu and have made a £3.5million bid for Ipswich Town striker Daryl Murphy.

Atsu has not made a single appearance for Chelsea since signing in 2013, and has spent the last three seasons on loan at the likes of Everton, Vitesse and Malaga.

The 33-year-old Murphy has one year left on his contract, and scored 50 goals in 123 Championship appearances during his latest spell at Portman Road.
