The Blues are not convinced about pushing Maatsen into a more prominent first team role as yet.

Per The Mirror, Maatsen is prepared to consider any opportunities where regular football is on offer.

He is eager to play and wants to show that he can hack it at Premier League level.

He is behind the likes of Levi Colwill, Marc Cucurella and Ben Chilwell in the club's pecking order at present.
