Chelsea are waiting to pounce should Tottenham intimate a willingness to sell Gareth Bale.
Bale has been mooted as AC Milan's mooted 'Mr X' for this summer's transfer market.
However, Calcio 24 says Milan are unlikely to have the spending power to land Bale ahead of Chelsea.
Chelsea management regard Bale highly and see the Welshman as a long-term replacement for Florent Malouda, who is now entering the veteran stage.
For now, however, despite Milan's interest, Spurs insist Bale is not for sale.
