Chelsea veteran Olivier Giroud is eager to see a move to AC Milan happen this summer.
The 34 year-old striker saw a new 12-month option in his contract triggered unilaterally by Chelsea last week.
Foot Mercato, however, says Giroud remains open to leaving this summer and is keen on a move to Milan.
Talks have been held with Milan chief Paolo Maldini and while he is now under contract, the Rossonero remain open to signing the veteran.
Much will depend on Chelsea and whether there will be a willingness to either release Giroud from his deal or at least keep his fee nominal.
