Sevilla wing-back Daniel Alves won't rule out joining Liverpool this summer.
Chelsea have already met the Seville star's agent while Real Madrid are also confident of winning the race for the Brazilian.
Yet full-back Alves, 25, revealed Liverpool bid for him in 2005 and 2006 - and he is a huge Steven Gerrard fan.
He said: "It's true Liverpool tried to sign me, but the clubs didn't reach an agreement. I like to watch Gerrard playing. He puts 100 per cent effort into every ball."
"Obviously I am not thinking about that right now when Seville is on the verge of winning three titles.
"Going to a bigger club is not something that obsesses me. But there are lots of factors to be analysed and clearly one of them is the economical one."
