Chelsea have tabled a bid for Borussia Dortmund defender Neven Subotic.
As tribalfootbll.com revealed last week, English-speaker Subotic is seen by Chelsea management as a more affordable defensive signing to David Luiz (Benfica) and Gary Cahill (Bolton Wanderers).
BILD says Chelsea have offered &eur;21 million for the 22 year-old Serbia international.
Talks between the two clubs will continue over the next few days in an attempt to find an agreement.
