Chelsea striker Werner amazed by 'real life' Kante: Blessing to be on his team

Chelsea striker Timo Werner has hailed the impact of N'Golo Kante this season.

Kante has managed to avoid injuries so far this season, playing an integral role in Frank Lampard's side after missing large parts of last season.

Talking to Sky Deutschland, Werner spoke about the World Cup winner and how he has impressed him the most at the club.

"We have so many good players!" the attacker said. '"But one is special even if many know how good he is already. Kante stands out in real life.

"If you think he can't get the ball, he'll steal it from behind you. That is impressive.

"Although I knew beforehand that Kante was probably the best six in the world, he always surprises me positively in training.

"Having him on your team is a blessing.

"Even offensively, he just marches so much. And what's more, he's just the nicest person on earth. As an example, he is knocked down from behind and laughs at himself first!"
