Chelsea striker Danny Sturridge admits his loan at Bolton Wanderers helped him fall in love with the game again.
He believes that five-month spell at the Reebok last season was the making of him.
He said: "I came back more confident and more mature, I was fitter because I'd been playing regular first-team football and scoring goals and I was also a much more well-rounded person.
"When I was at Chelsea last season I was always upset and I was always down because I wasn't playing. So I didn't love my football as I do now. It's difficult to fulfil your potential if you're not playing.
"But the new manager's given me that opportunity and I can't ask for any more than that."
