Chelsea striker Remy hopes to see action against Newcastle

Chelsea striker Loic Remy hopes to see action today against Newcastle United.

Remy joined Chelsea from Queens Park Rangers for £10.5million in August but has played only a minor role so far because of the form of top scorer Diego Costa. The France international, who scored 14 goals on loan at Newcastle last season, has still netted four times for his new club.

Newcastle were the first team to beat Chelsea in the League this season and Remy is hoping to help avenge that defeat, whether he plays or not.

He said: "The manager can ask me some questions, some details about the way Newcastle play.

"I think the manager has every support to know the opponent, with videos and everything, but in case he needs it he knows that he can come to me, no problem.

"What's the secret of Newcastle? They are a strong team. They play well, especially on the counter-attack. They killed us in the game in Newcastle because their counter-attack was amazing, so we have to be careful about that. We need to play with our qualities.

"Obviously, it was my last team, so for me it is always an exciting game. If the manager picks me, then all the better. I want to play every game."
