Talented youngster Malik Mothersille made a cameo for Everton's under-21 side on Monday.
The 19-year-old, who is on trial with the Toffees, earned a chance to show his quality against Liverpool's youth side.
Mothersille played for around 20 minutes in the U21 Merseyside Derby, which the Toffees lost 4-0.
His future has not yet been decided, as he is also considering remaining at Chelsea.
Mothersille managed four goals in the Papa John's Trophy for the Blues Under-21s last term.
He has been training with Paul Tait's Everton Under-21s in recent weeks to see if a move there is a good option.
