Chelsea striker Drogba: I can tell fans hunger is still here

Didier Drogba has told Chelsea fans the players are desperate to deliver a Champions League victory over Juventus tonight.

He said: "I'd have liked Chelsea to draw Panathinaikos or maybe Porto but nothing comes easy in the Champions League.

"I can assure the Chelsea fans, however, that there is a real hunger within our group of players to succeed this time where we failed last season."

Drogba added: "I can't wait for the tie to kick-off as I'm hungry to cross swords with Juventus.

"I just don't agree with those saying we've got a handicap in playing at home first. Not me, I'm up for it. Why can't we go out there and prove the theory wrong by sticking four past Juve? If we could do that then the return leg in Turin would immediately be a less daunting task."
