Chelsea captain John Terry is set for showdown talks with coach Avram Grant.

The Daily Mail says Terry will confront Grant and demand to know why he has been left out of Chelsea's Carling Cup Final team - if he misses the Wembley showpiece with Tottenham.

Grant is considering taking a huge gamble and risk both the ire of his skipper and his supporters by omitting Terry from Sunday's game.

The manager kept the defender on the bench at Olympiacos on Tuesday and has offered his club's leader no assurances about the Wembley clash.
