Chelsea skipper John Terry is confident Michael Essien will bounce back from his knee injury.
The Ghana midfielder will be sidelined until at least January after damaging cruciate ligaments.
And Terry has spoken of his dismay at the cruel setback for Essien, who has now had two major knee injuries in as many years.
Terry said: "He's a great pro, he'll work hard and he will come back fit and strong."
