New Chelsea signing Yuri Zhirkov says he's ready to play anywhere for manager Carlo Ancelotti.
"At CSKA Moscow I mainly played as a left-back but the national team manager preferred me to play as an attacking left-back," said the player, who also told Chelsea TV he has yet to have a conversation with Ancelotti over his exact role in the coming season. What he does promise is not to curb his forward-running instincts.
"It is my style of football, it is my style of game.
"It is very good that we have some Russian-speaking players in the team," Zhirkov concludes, having spent part of the week in conversation with Branislav Ivanovic, Petr Cech and Andriy Shevchenko.
"But I will try to learn English as quick as I can."
