Chelsea are the richest club in Europe not part of the group and manager Jose Mourinho has claimed their absence puts the Blues at a disadvantage.
Details of the expansion plan will be discussed today when representatives of the G14 clubs gather for the group's general assembly in Brussels, says the Daily Mail.
New members are not only expected from strongholds of England, Spain, Italy and Germany, but also from Russia, Turkey and even some non-European countries.
After Chelsea lost to Barcelona in 2006, Mourinho said: "Maybe we have a chance of Champions League success if the G14 becomes G15 and we go where the power is."
