Chelsea have spent extensive time scouting France international Jonathan Clauss.

The Blues are keen admirers of the 29-year-old Lens star, who plays as a right wing back.

Manager Thomas Tuchel wants to add Clauss to his squad.

According to Goal.com, Chelsea scouts watched the defender for around 50 games last season.

If Chelsea were to secure Clauss, he would cost around £10 million.

The club sees him as able competition for first choice right-back Reece James.
