Chelsea are stepping up their pursuit of Marseille midfielder Giannelli Imbula. Blues chief scout Guy Hillion was back at Marseille on Sunday to see Imbula impress once more in their 2-0 victory over Toulouse on Sunday.
He has been compared to former Chelsea star Claude Makelele and is tipped to become a France international having already represented the Under-21s five times.
Last season, Hillion said: "I have seen Imbula often. As soon as he gets the ball he is able to accelerate and break through the lines.
"He covers well, has good technique, great vision of the game, with a very good pass and a great left foot."
