Despite not getting recent desired results, Nicolas Anelka believes Chelsea are still on track to clinch this season's treble.

After a draw with Southend in the FA Cup and Sunday's loss to Manchester United, Anelka understands the fans may be getting restless but assured the Blues' form would turn around.

"We didn't manage to win our match with Southend, which is a shame, most of all because it means we are going to have to add an extra game to our busy schedule," he told Les Dessous du Sport.

"The fans have been frustrated by our recent home results, which is logical to me.

"As far as the players are concerned, we have not been happy with some of our games.

"The positive point is that we are still on course for the treble.

"We understand it's going to be massively tough, but everything is possible."
