Chelsea have completely ruled out speculation that Fernando Torres could be on his way back to Liverpool.
Rumours emerged early on Wednesday that the misfiring Spaniard could be sold back to Anfield for £20million in January but a Chelsea spokesman has dismissed that as utter rubbish.
"The story is total nonsense. Fernando is in the long-term plans at Chelsea," the spokesman told the Evening Standard.
Torres has netted just five goals in 35 appearances for the Blues since his £50million move from Liverpool in January.
