Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti has been rocked by a training ground injury suffered by Frank Lampard.
The Daily Mail says Lampard's condition will be assessed further on Thursday but should the 32-year-old be set for yet another lay-off then it will come as a major blow to Ancelotti's hopes of reviving his side's flagging hopes of retaining the Barclays Premier League title.
Ancelotti has already had to do without the talismanic midfielder for almost four months this season after a hernia problem was compounded by a further abductor muscle injury.
Lampard has started Chelsea's last six games but is now a doubt for at least Monday night's testing trip to Bolton Wanderers.
