Chelsea are pushing for Thibaut Courtois to open new contract talks.

The People says the Blues want to tie the keeper - whose contract runs until 2016 - down further still by extending his current deal until 2019.

Chelsea would not send him out to a direct title rival but Courtois, having already caught the eyes of some of Europe's top sides, including Barcelona, feels he is ready to be playing every week for one of the continent's top clubs.
