Former Chelsea striker Mateja Kezman says Guus Hiddink is the right man for Stamford Bridge.
Kezman worked with Hiddink at PSV Eindhoven and said: "Guus had a lot to put up with. The abuse he got from rival fans was disgusting and, after getting death threats and bullets in the post, he could have walked away.
"Hiddink has been a good coach for me and made PSV into one of Europe's most attractive teams."
Tottenham striker Roman Pavlyuchenko was in the Russia team who lost their Euro 2008 opener against eventual winners Spain.
Hiddink blasted the team with a torrent of abuse - delivered in perfect Russian in the dressing room.
Pav said: "Unprintable words were used which probably stung some players. The team wanted to prove to Hiddink in the next game we could do it, that we had strong characters."
