Chelsea players upset as AVB demands high defensive line STAY

Chelsea boss Andre Villas-Boas is facing a mutiny at Stamford Bridge, it has been revealed.

The Daily Star says Blues owner Roman Abramovich will be stunned by the news of the arguments between AVB's coaching team and his players ahead of the dismal Champions League defeat at Bayer Leverkusen.

With Villas-Boas at the helm, Chelsea have made their worst Premier League start under Abramovich.

The struggling Blues have won just two games in the last seven in all competitions, including successive home league defeats to Arsenal and Liverpool and a controversial loss at QPR.

They now face a make-or-break Champions League showdown with Valencia that could end with them dropping into the Europa League.

Senior players have been increasingly frustrated by the tactics employed by AVB.

Both sides aired their views more than a week ago, but after the weekend defeat by Liverpool the Chelsea manager insisted his side stick to his tactic of playing high lines, despite the players insisting they were not working.

They also don't like being told what the team is at the last minute and are unsure about the number of changes being made.
