Chelsea are planning a shock raid for Manchester United striker Carlos Tevez.
The Daily Star says the Argentine's loan agreement at United runs out at the end of this season, with it looking increasingly likely that he will not stay with Sir Alex Ferguson's team.
A fee of more than £20m would be needed to buy the 24-year-old, with the rights to the striker owned by a group of investors fronted by Kia Joorabchian.
"Chelsea like Tevez very much and he will be their major summer target, along with (Luis) Fabiano, who is almost certain to arrive," said a club source.
