Tottenham signing Carlo Cudicini admits he's been subject of mickey-taking from ex-Chelsea teammates over his decision to swap a title bid for a relegation battle.

"After 10 seasons at Chelsea, it is normal my old team-mates have been getting in touch," he said in the Daily Express. "But, yes, they have been taking the mickey.

"I haven't really thought much about swapping a title challenge for a relegation battle. I had the chance to join a great club and that is the most important thing.

"Of course the situation is not the best, but we are in this situation and will come out of it.

"Football is crazy. Sometimes even when you have great players, you find yourself in a position nobody wants to be.

"The quality is here. The team has got great players with great qualities, and showed that against Stoke."
