Chelsea owner Boehly failed with bid for Fiorentina midfielder Amrabat

Chelsea co-owner Todd Boehly received a swift rejection from Fiorentina when he tried to sign one of their players this winter.

The Italian club were not in the mood to deal with Chelsea on deadline day.

The Blues made an offer for Morocco midfield star Sofyan Amrabat.

However, Fiorentina said no to the deal, per the Daily Mail, as they would not have time to find a replacement.

Boehly was successful in his winter-long pursuit of Enzo Fernandez from Benfica.

Chelsea have secured the midfielder for a club record fee on deadline day.
