Chelsea are still undecided on the future of Gonzalo Higuain.
The Argentine has scored just four goals in 15 appearances since joining on loan from Juventus in January.
Blues manager Maurizio Sarri said after Sunday's win over Watford, in which the 31-year-old scored, that his team would be better with Higuain next season.
"I don't know about Gonzalo Higuain's future, you have to ask the club," he said.
"If he's staying then we can do very well in the next season."
However, Calciomercato claim owner Roman Abramovich has yet to make up his mind on the striker's future.
He can be signed for €36m on a permanent basis or the loan deal can be extended for a further season for a cost of €18.
The club might not have a choice over Higuain's future if their two-window transfer ban is upheld.
