Chelsea owner Abramovich putting final touches on Falcao transfer coup

Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich is finalising terms with Atletico Madrid star Radamel Falcao ahead of a summer deal. The Daily Express says Abramovich is thought to have initiated contact with football super-agent Jorge Mendes over the future of his client Falcao, with Chelsea being long-term admirers of the 27-year-old.

Mendes brokered the move of Jose Mourinho to Stamford Bridge in 2004, and also negotiated the deals for Chelsea to sign Ricardo Carvalho, Paulo Ferreira, Tiago and Maniche.

The Blues owner is willing to hand Falcao a four-year deal at the Bridge worth £10m a season, which equates to around £200,000 per week.

Is this deal nailed on? Will Falcao do better than Torres or Shevchenko? Give is your shout below...
