Chelsea are prepared to sign Juventus defender Daniele Rugani - independent of their managerial situation.

The Mirror says Chelsea are lining up a move for Rugani.

The Blues have added £26million-rated centre-back Rugani to their list of summer targets as they push ahead with their transfer plans, despite continuing doubts over who will be in charge of their team next season.

And their interest was being discussed by Juve chiefs in a Thursday meeting with the 24-year-old's representatives in Milan.

Rugani played for Chelsea boss Antonio Conte at Juventus.
