Chelsea are being linked with unsettled Manchester United striker Robin van Persie. The Daily Express says reports in Italy suggest Juventus are chasing the Dutchman, but will struggle to match his £250,000-a-week wages at United.
Juventus fear that if van Persie does come on the market, both Chelsea and AS Monaco would be willing and able to offer better terms.
The outcome could depend on the future of ASM ace Radamel Falcao.
Indeed, van Persie could end up as the consolation prize for whoever misses out on the Colombian with Monaco only in need of a replacement if Falcao leaves, possibly to Chelsea.
