Chelsea manager Frank Lampard has ruled N'Golo Kante out of Wednesday's meeting with Liverpool.

The Frenchman suffered a hamstring injury during his side's match against Watford on July 4th.

And it is likely the Blues are targeting Kante's return for the FA Cup final against Arsenal on August 1.

"N'Golo is not fit," Lampard told a pre-match press conference. "He's not ready for this game."

The 29-year-old has missed three Premier League matches against Crystal Palace, Sheffield United and Norwich City since the restart.
