Chelsea midfielder Frank Lampard says he goes into the World Cup in the best form of his career.
Lampard clinched a historic Double with Chelsea last season, scoring an amazing 32 goals from midfield for club and country.
He said: "Last season I thought my play, taking away the goals, was as good as it's been.
"The first half was slow. But the back end of the season I will remember as my best and the goals tally was the best as well.
"I feel I've shown consistent progress and hope it carries on.
"I don't want to say whether I've reached my peak. Every season I set out to improve.
"I'm my own biggest critic and most years I've improved. I'm 31 now but I'm still hoping for more."
