Chelsea make Man City attacker Sterling their flagship signing priority

Chelsea are making Manchester City attacker Raheem Sterling their flagship signing for this summer market.

Sterling is entering the final 12 months of his contract and weighing up his future.

He has has attracted interest from major clubs overseas but Chelsea believe they can persuade him to remain in the Premier League, reports BBC Sport.

Sterling, 27, is London-born and is attracted to returning home at this stage in his career.

He battled to be a first-choice for City manager Pep Guardiola last season and as such is considering his options.

Chelsea boss Thomas Tuchel and new owner Todd Boehly like the idea of bringing the England star to Stamford Bridge and have agreed to make his signing a priority.
