Chelsea are in contact with Real Madrid defender Sergio Ramos. Ramos rejected a new contract offer from Real last week, amid talk he is fed-up with life in the Spanish Liga.
The Daily Express says Chelsea have made the first move by approaching his agent to gauge the player's current status in moving to west London.
Jose Mourinho worked with Ramos during his time at the Santiago Bernabeu, and is aware that he must start planning a long-term replacement for club veteran John Terry.
Ramos' current Real deal runs to 2017.
