Chelsea are believed to be showing interest in veteran goalkeeper Brad Friedel.
The Telegraph reports that the Blues are eyeing the 43-year old Tottenham gloveman as a possible contingency for Petr Cech.
It is believed that Cech may depart Stamford Bridge at the end of the season which would force the Capital One Cup winners to look for a suitable and experienced back-up for Thibaut Courtois.
Former USA international Friedel is currently behind Hugo Lloris and Michel Vorm in the White Hart Lane pecking order and could be lured across London if Cech happens to leave.
The report also suggests that Aston Villa's Shay Given, QPR's Rob Green, Celtic's Craig Gordon and Norwich City's John Ruddy are being considered by Chelsea.
