Christian Atsu was grateful to the Newcastle United supporters on Tuesday night.
The Ghanaian attacking midfielder, on loan from Chelsea, played a key role as the Magpies demolished Preston North End 6-0 in the fourth round of the EFL Cup.
Atsu was thrilled to advance to the quarter-finals of the league cup competition with his loan club.
