Xabi Alonso admits there's been no progress over new contract talks at Real Madrid.

Xabi has discussed openly the prospect of returning to England where former club Liverpool and Chelsea are keen.

"Renewing is not something I am thinking about at the moment," the midfielder said.

"It's not on the table but everything has its time."
