Chelsea legend Frank Lampard has confirmed he's in talks for the Derby County job.
Lampard has been interviewed and is now in pole position to take over the Championship club.
He said on BT Sport: “I'm ambitious and want to become a manager. It's a big club with big history."
Lampard is the leading candidate to succeed Gary Rowett after his departure for Stoke.
Lampard, who has gained a reputation as a top TV pundit, has been doing his coaching badges and has had interest from Ipswich and Oxford.
