Chelsea have launched a bid for Getafe fullback Marc Cucurella.

AS says Chelsea are offering €30m for the left-back.

The preferred left-back target for Chelsea was Ben Chilwell, of Leicester City, but as the asking price was set at €90m, manager Frank Lampard has asked to try for Cucurella, a Spain Under-21 international.

Cucurella played on loan from Barcelona this season at Getafe, with a mandatory purchase clause.

The clause was €6m but Barça would keep 40 per cent of a future transfer. Getafe have since paid €10m for the purchase option. In exchange, Barça now reserves only 10 percent of a possible sale.
