Chelsea keeper Cech: Little change under Villas-Boas

Chelsea goalkeeper Petr Cech hasn't noticed much change with the arrival of new manager Andre Villas-Boas.

For Cech and the other keepers, there is less change this season than for the outfield players as goalkeeper coach Christophe Lollichon remains in place, but as an integrated part of the squad, working with Andre Villas-Boas and his staff represents a new start.

He told chelseafc.com: "Six managers have been appointed Chelsea manager since I came to the club and unfortunately apart from Jose [Mourinho] who stayed three and a half years, nobody has stayed for long.

"I think you change the manager when you see there is no way to continue. Hopefully there will be a way to continue for Andre for many years. Now if we have a great season it will build a base for the manager to stay here.

"Everybody is different and managers come always with their own philosophy and they want to do their own thing," Cech continued.

"Sometimes it does work and sometimes it doesn't but Mourinho set the standard and the others have to try to do better than him.

"Since Andre was here working with Mourinho many things have changed. The club has changed and he has changed from being one of the technical staff to being the manager, and I think so far everything has been working really well and I hope it will continue."
