Cesar Azpilicueta is well aware just how vital it is for clubs like Chelsea to have plenty of depth.

With reports suggesting the Premier League champions are set to bring in another left-back, Spaniard Azpilicueta has welcomed the imminent competition which could come in the form of FC Augsburg star Baba Rahman.

"In football, in a great club like Chelsea and all the top clubs, you have quality players," Azpilicueta said from the club's pre-season tour of the USA.

"Every one of us tries to give everything and make it difficult for the manager.

"You have to fight every day for your place so obviously I will have competition as always and I will try my best to work hard to play as much possible."
