Didier Drogba could be back in action for Montreal Impact this weekend.
The 37-year-old striker has missed the past two matches for the Impact after making his debut as a second-half sub in the 1-0 home loss to Philadelphia Union on August 23.
This weekend, Montreal host Chicago Fire in MLS play and Drogba, along with fellow striker Ignacio Piatti, may be back from toe and call problems respectively according to head coach Mauro Biello.
"We'll see. We'll check the GPS and all the data," Biello told reporters.
"We'll see how they've recovered in training, and we'll make a decision based on that."
Of the attacking pair, Biello added: "[Drogba and Piatti] help us and give us more options. It'll also help the group in terms of confidence."
The Impact currently sit seventh on MLS' Eastern Conference table, a point behind Orlando City, who are currently occupying the sixth and final play-off spot.
