Chelsea hero Franck Leboeuf has revealed he could have signed for Liverpool.
The Frenchman had five years at Stamford Bridge.
"I love the club, although it's different now," he told the People.
"If I go there, people ask me who am I. I don't care, it's just a nice memory for me now.
"I never wanted to play for another English team because Chelsea made me. It was home.
"Gerard Houllier called me after France '98 to see if I wanted to join Liverpool. I was honoured, but said no. You have to be faithful sometimes."
