Chelsea great Gianfranco Zola is backing Olivier Giroud for a big impact at AC Milan.

The veteran centre-forward and Zola won the Europa League final together at Chelsea.

Zola told Gazzetta dello Sport: "Olivier Giroud is an attacker who makes the players around him grow.

"I had him at Chelsea (Zola was assistant coach at Chelsea), the team revolved around him perfectly.

"And then he's also a great guy."
