Brazil U20 defender Doria is interesting Chelsea. The Daily Mail says the 18-year-old captains his country at Under 20 level and has been compared to Thiago Silva.

The Botafogo centre-back has also been watched closely by Tottenham who may yet enter the bidding.

Chelsea are understood to be willing to pay £8.2m for Doria but his club president Mauricio Assumpcao said: "Negotiations will depend on whether anyone wants to pay his buy-out fee of £11m."
